First trip to Utah together since we got married!!

I have been blessed to get to go home several times since we've been married, but this time I got to bring Joe with me! We had a family reunion on my dad's side in Island Park, Idaho that I have been looking forward to for 3 years! After the last reunion I mentioned that by this reunion hopefully my siblings and I would all be married and possibly have a few kids in the family! Who knew it would all come to pass!?=) I think Joe enjoyed the trip more than he anticipated. We did some really fun things, and he really enjoyed my extended family. They didn't hesitate to tell me what a wonderful guy I had married. I must agree with them=) I have posted all of the pictures of the things we did on facebook, but here's a short recap of some of the things we got to do!
We went to Donut Falls with our parents and I think I can say that we all had a blast!
We hauled Joseph and Britt's jet skis to the reunion. We had so much fun with them!
Joe was nice enough to take my little cousin out with him=)
Our family was in charge of making dinner one night for everyone. We made dutch oven enchiladas. We really had fun making it=)
We got to spend time with my new nephew, Korver. ( This was the only picture I have, but I got to play with him lots!)
Joe and Tiff playing with Korver

A few of us from the reunion drove about an hour and a half to Montana to white water raft down the Gallatin River! We had SOOO much fun!
We were so glad we did this! After I told Joe about it, he was so excited to do it. We were excited to get some others to join us! Great memories made!
When we got back from the reunion we had planned to do a lot of fun things in Utah. I have to tell you that before I met Joe there were A LOT of things right near where I lived that I had never taken the time to do! Seeing the Olympic Park from the 2002 Winter Olympics was one of them. Thursday we headed up to Park City with Tiff to the Olympic Park. We just had to get in this bobsled to take a picture=)
One of my favorite things was the coaster! You control how fast or slow you go by the control in the middle.
We rode two ziplines. The longer one is the steepest zipline! We had so much fun! This picture is of Tiff and me riding the shorter zipline.
On Friday we headed down to Provo to kayak(blow up kayaks) down the Provo River. We didn't get enough at the reunion. This river doesn't have the white water that the Gallatin does, but it was fun and relaxing and we got some good laughs out of it!
This is a picture of the group that went after we had gotten out of the river. Mom and michael fell out of their kayak so my mom rode with Joe and Tiff went with Michael. Mom was a good sport about it and we all cracked up together after the fact=)
On Saturday Tiff, Joe and I headed up to the Bingham Copper Mine. I have lived near it for most of my life, my high school was named after it, and I had no idea how incredible it was! We watched a video that they had at the visitors center and we were just fascinated by what goes on here!
This is one of the wheels that they have on the hauler trucks they use! Look at the size of that thing! The trucks are as big as a two story house with 4 bedrooms!
These were the facts about the truck tires but I don't think you can read them.
On our way out of the mine I noticed I had gotten a call from Dallin. When I called him back he excitedly told me that Brittany's water had broke and they were at the hospital. I can't even tell you the feeling that came over me. I have been praying for months that she would have the baby while we were there. We were leaving Sunday evening to head home and her due date wasn't until Monday. I was so sad that I missed Korver's birth and I wanted more than anything to be there for this one. That evening around 6ish little Tate Dallin Griffin came into the world. It was so amazing to be able to be there at the hospital with everyone and to get to hold the little guy for the first time. What a little miracle he is.
We were SO happy!! Another cute nephew!
Tiff made dinner on Sunday! It was delicious! She and Joe were having a contest to see who could eat the most. At least it was healthy=) ha ha! Thanks Tiff for all you did. We had so much fun with you! The trip just wouldn't have been the same without you with us!
Tiff and Joe with their sticks after they were done! You almost won Tiff=)

Our trip was so much fun, and ended in the best way possible. Thanks to everyone that made our trip a success and a blast! We loved spending time with family. Thanks Tiff and mom for taking the week off=) We love you all and can't wait to come back for Christmas!

4th of July Weekend!

Joe and I headed up to Dallas to see Anthony, Julie and the kids on Saturday! We got to see their gorgeous new home, and had so much fun getting to see and play with the kiddos! Addie and Jack are so much fun and so cute! On Sunday morning we were in the guest bedroom getting ready for church and we could hear little voices outside our door. Joe said "watch this" and whipped open the door! Addie and Jack were laying on the floor right outside our door waiting for us to come out and play=) ha ha! Their faces when Joe opened the door were priceless! I didn't take as many pictures as I should have of all the fun things we did, but here are a few.

Addie took me to her room to play dress up and kitchen. She made this wonderful meal for us! What a cutie!

Doesn't Jack look so cute with his sunglasses on?
Julie had a good idea.... to fill this sand table with water and let the kids play in it on hot days!
This is Jack just getting started!
And this is what he looked like when he was done!=)
Sunday evening Addie got to stay out late so that she could come with us to watch fireworks! It was a little loud for her but Joe covered her ears and after that I think she enjoyed it! We had so much fun! Thanks Anthony and Julie for such a fun weekend! We love you guys!
